2020 and 2021 have changed us in many ways. It has challenged us both personally and professionally with the majority of us having to adapt to new ways of living and working. There are, however, a lot of positives too. As a business, it’s important to take note of the ever-evolving trends of consumers and how we’re living now. Spending more time at home has led to increased investments in home life. Supporting local businesses has become more popular over the last year and mental health awareness and personal wellbeing has also risen due to the current climate. If that’s something you can address or home in on as a business, it will stand to your advantage.

As we are aware, many businesses are unable to trade in their normal circumstances, but it is important that we do all we can to keep our business at the forefront of consumers’ minds through these unprecedented times.   • Can you offer takeaway services, click and collect or deliveries?
  • Pivot or adjust your offering – can you use your skills and experience to offer a different service during closure? Continue to build your brand in a positive way and continue to communicate with your customers.
  • It’s always a good idea to collaborate and work with other businesses to promote each other’s services. If you know other local businesses in your area, reach out and see how you can help each other – you might be surprised by what ideas you come up with!
